Took this shot from the Fuji TV building, Fuji is there somewhere you just have to look very hard!

Narita Airport

At Narita Airport
This is the actual plane that brought me to Japan. An Airbus A380 the word’s biggest airliner. Nicknamed the dreamliner not sure why as I couldn’t fall asleep.

Odaiba Monorail

Odaiba Monorail
The first time I have ever been scared by a monorail. Not only is the monorail entirely automated but it’s not fixed to a track, instead it has tyres just like a car does, the computer steers it!

Tokyo Sky Tree

Look for a very tall slender outline on the horizon, that’s Tokyo Sky Tree. At the bottom of the picture you can see a small beach that gets quite crowded during summer.

Rainbow Bridge

Why it’s called Rainbow bridge I’m not sure but at night they it lights up like a rainbow. I rode the monorail across the bridge but it’s also possible to drive a car across it or ever walk across it!

Odaiba Statue Of Liberty

Can you spot it? Not quite as big as the real thing but if you look to the right of this photo you should be able to see it. It’s an unusual sight to see in Japan.

Tokyo Highway

One of the many highways in Japan. The traffic in Tokyo is often very heavy despite the large number of people that use public transport.

Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine

Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine
This shrine is located in Kamakura and is the location of a famous ginko tree that’s over 1000 years old! Unfortunately the huge tree fell over during March 2010. Everyone thought it was dead but it’s actually started growing new shoots.

    Poor you… ;-)

    Also, I thought the dreamliner was the long delayed B787, not the A380.

      Are Air France bad? I don’t know much about flying since I’ve done so little of it. I think you must be right about the dreamliner. I was watching a documentary about the A308 recently and it was referred to as the dreamliner in some parts. However, now I’ve looked it up I can only find references to the B787.

        Yes Air France is bad in my opinion. Flight attendants are pretentious and snotty, they think they’re the shit, completely oblivious of the fact that flight attendants have ceased to be fantasized upon since the 80′s.
        And the plane themselves don’t have as many “amenities” (can you say amenities for a plane) as similar planes from other airlines.

        In my opinion, the best major European airline is BA (though I never flew with with Lufthansa), but the best airlines in the world are definitely Cathay Pacific and Asiana Airlines (and lucky me they’re two of the most convenient for me to go to Japan)

    I think that it is pretty cool that u get to live your dream of flying to japan. And what kind of camera are u using because thos pictures came out really good.

      It’s one of my dreams yes but living in Japan is my ultimate dream so I’ll see if it comes true someday :)

      As for the camera it’s a Panasonic Lumix LX3 high-end compact. I picked it up at a good price from Yodabashi Camera last time I was in Japan. £100 ($150) cheaper than in England ^^
